We assembled on Saturday to ring in the New Year for the fifteenth year in succession! Simon Adams, Julie Hooper, Seymour Lee, Ann Bailey, Alan Cottrell, Margaret Burling, Richard Andrew and Diane Hooper all huddled together by the fire after braving the cold weather outside. It did not seem six years since we had assembled to celebrate the new millennium! We rang the old year out, then rang the New Year in as we listened to the chimes of Big Ben on Radio 4. We could hear fireworks going off outside as we rang all eight bells to welcome in the year 2007. We drank a toast to wish everyone a Very Happy New Year!
